Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
